I have had some hard moments and GREAT moments lately and will blog about specific happenings later but I wanted to sum up the past day or so in one post so....
Things I'm Grateful For Today
1. THE GOSPEL--I have no idea what I would do without it--it is the source of my joy
2. My family--I miss them so much every day and love that we are BEST FRIENDS!!
3. My roommates--I get emotional sometimes thinking about how blessed I am this year to be living in such a positive situation with my 2 best friends. we love each other and support each other in everything and I couldn't be more grateful for my situation!
4. My ward--It's awesome!!
5. President Uchtdorf--he came and spoke to us last night (I was caught on camera laughing ridiculously) and he is always so powerful and loving and just incredible.
6. BYU--I know it sounds cliche but I really am so blessed to be attending BYU in such a wonderful environment where we CAN go to CES Firesides with prophets, seers, and revelators! and where our classes start out with prayers, etc
7. The fall--I think I recently decided that fall is my favorite time of year. I love summer a lot but there's something about the cooling off, the GORGEOUS leaves changing, the beginnings of holidays, etc. Utah has such beautiful Falls!
8. school--as much as I complain internally to myself everyday about hard assignments and tests coming up, I am grateful I get to learn. I'm just excited for next semester when it won't be quite as demanding :)
9. this should be up at the top so pretend it's there. Tender Mercies--it never ceases to amaze me when something is hard in my life (no matter how tiny) that Christ will send tender mercies every day if I just recognize them. It humbles me every time this happens because I then realize as I'm going through my small trial that it doesn't matter how "small" your hardships seem, if it's important to you then it is important to Him and he WILL show you He cares. Look for those tender mercies every day because I promise you they are there!
10. the opportunities I get to serve. I love serving because I love seeing people happy and not only does it make others happy, it makes me happy! I'm so excited to go to El Salvador over Thanksgiving to serve the people there and learn more from them than I could have ever given them. I'm also grateful for callings and although I think I may be getting a new one soon which could be very hard--I am grateful for these opportunities to serve, learn, and definitely grow.
so this is long and I could keep going but I'll stop there :) It's been a WONDERFUL weekend and I hope you remember to smile and look for those mercies everyday!
This is so sweet! It looks like you are on the right track! :) Life is great isn't it?
